Minimap for minecraft!!!!!!!!!

Todays mod is something much needed in the minecraft universe a mini map  The map is just a small square or circle that you can position in any of the four corners of the screen. The map has multiple zoom levels although i prefer the most zoomed out option. in addition to a surface map there is a cave map which will show you large underground caverns and a biome map that will tell you what type of biome you are in. in addition you can make some handy dandy way points on your map so you could never lose a certain location like a house or a good mine. All in all this mini map is one of the most useful utilities you can ever get!

Team Fortress 2 Texture pack

Disclaimer: If any installation does not go through smoothly I am not responsible for anything that goes wrong while installing this or any other texture pack

for instructions on how to install refer to my first texture pack post

Hello, today's texture pack is of the team fortress craft texture pack it is made to mimic the highly popular free to play game called team fortress 2. It does so by mimicking the art style which is a very cartoony look that I enjoyed but however is not for everyone. Where this texture pack stands out most is the paintings. the creator of the texture pack took many of the symbols and signs of the red team including their logo. This could be a perfect texture pack for someone who wants to build a team fortress 2 style map. some of the ore blocks were made to look like containers instead of bricks and certain tools looked like some of the gear the characters in TF2 use. Here are screenshots and  a link to texture

How To Make Your Own Texture Pack

Todays post is for the more creative folks reading this blog. As the title states I will be giving you all a short tutorial on how to make your very own texture packs! Lets say you want to edit the texture of the pig. The first thing to do is make sure you have some sort of photo editing software like ms paint or gimp. then go to your minecraft folder then to the bin folder open up the minecraft.jar folder and find yet again a folder named mob open up the mob folder and find the file named pig.png then open the editing software to and draw the pig as you would like it to look. or lets say you want to change what a block looks like go to the bin folder and find the png file named terrain and open that in the software then find the block you want to change and color it to your liking. The same goes for items and weapons just find the png file open it and edit it its a simple as that! then enjoy your unique minecraft texture all you want ( it is a good idea to make a copy of the png files you edit if you ever want to return to the original texture.)
