Cant to a post today But war z review!
Sorry I can't do a mod review today. The reason why is i have recently updated to the 1.4.6 update. since this update came out very recently there are no compatible mods for it yet. That is why I cannot do a mod review hopefully by the end of winter break there will be compatible mods released and I can continue to do reviews. So since I cannot do a minecraft review I will do a review of a game I have recently got called The War Z. the war z is a recently created open world zombie survival. there are no objectives other than to survive as long as you can. the game was built of of the war inc battlezone games engine which was made by the same company. the game is still in late alpha to early beta and has a lot of potential. The gameplay is similar to that of the other famous open world zombie survival game mod for arma 2 known as day z (yes i know war z sounds shockingly familiar but that is not the point.) you start the game by choosing a character. after creating them you join a server and are set out to survive the zombie apacolypse! you will spawn with a little food and water along with a flashlight which will help you see and defend yourself against zombies but also will attract a lot of zombies. however the enemy you really need to look out for are the other players. most will kill you on sight for your loot. have a wonderful holiday

Modern craft texture pack
Todays texture pack is a very good one. It doesn't focus on changing the way that the game looks but rather how certain parts of it look. For instance instead of changing every block they focused on certain parts like making the wood door into a glass door and the chest into a cardboard box. And then they just changed other unimportant things a different color like the bed which is blue instead of red like in regular minecraft. I liked the way that they made a certain block (can't remember which one) so it would look like a radio antenna. that way you could build buildings that looked authentic and more like a modern building than you would be able to in regular minecraft. The paintings were also interesting some looked like modern art while others were warning signs or parking signs. pics and link below

Minecraft websites, theres more than one
Hello todays post isn't a mod and more of a warning. Usually i only post mod links to minecraft forum. Usually I recommend using that website for most mods and textures. However there are other websites with mods and texture packs not available on the minecraft forums one other widely known website is planet minecraft. Actually I would only use these two websites all other websites I would trust. the other ones have users who try to upload a virus link every once in a while. However minecraft forum and minecraft planet both check the links of the uploads and will eliminate any fake mod links that will download a virus here are links to both websites tell me which one you like more in the comments!

square swept texture review
today's texture pack adds a more "modern art" style look to minecraft. Everything is made up of squares rounded or sharp edged. the most noticeable change however is in the lighting the creator of this texture changed the light filters in the game to give a more realistic feel to the daytime with better shadows and i slight blur around objects far away to give you that instagram "photographer" (and i use that word loosely) style pictures but somehow doesn't make me feel like puking. here are screens and a link to download it
