minecraft pocket edition review

Today (since non of texture packs work for the new update) I will be doing a review of minecraft pocket edition. Minecraft pocket edition is the iphone and android version of minecraft there is a free and paid version and has local wifi multiplayer as well as a survival and creative mode. while the game does not have all the blocks that the pc version has it still has all of the vanilla (alpha version) blocks. If you jailbreak your phone you can get custom skins and mods but that is the only way to do so the controls are nice and easy to learn and as far as visuals go its the same thing. This is a great time waster game or if you want to get serious about it you and some friends could hunt each other down in survival mode or build a castle in creative.

Risugami's biosphere mod

Disclaimer: I am not responsible for any problems that may occur while installing this modification to see how to install mods please refer back to the how to install minecraft mods windows or pc video depending on what os you are running.

This mod requires Risugami's mod loader to run the mod will be on the same page to find biosphere scroll down about 1/2 the page to find modloader scroll down 1/4 of the page.

Todays mod is made by the same person that created modloader which has made it so that the world of modding minecraft could be expanded beyond what it previously was. This mod however is a completely different mod. The biosphere changes the world to be multiple biomes enclosed inside a giant glass sphere and are connected by wooden bridges. Their is no real purpose for this mod but it is a fun one it includes all biomes (yes there is a nether sphere) and it is fun building different houses in each of the different spheres. and every once in a while you can see a small floating ball of rare ore's like diamonds  in between the spheres and it presents a challenge of "how can I get to that?" and gets the players to really think outside the box on how to get to the precious ore's without plummeting to their death. The mod is found in the more world options menu while creating a new world.

stelloups pack

Today's texture pack is a type that I have wanted to do for a while now, it is a smooth transition pack meaning a row of grass blocks for example all blend together instead of looking like individual blocks. to achieve this every block has to be one flat color or have a very simple texture. Stelloups pack is great for someone who wants to play the core of the game and it is easy to identify which block is which. One of the cool features of this pack is what they did to the gold blocks. Instead of a solid yellow block they changed it into a brick pattern so you can make a gold brick house or other buildings. The animals don't look much different and the creepers have this weird blueish border around them, but besides that this texture pack is great and I recommend it to anyone. (who plays minecraft that is)
